Students as well as teachers exposed to asbestos during two-month rehabilitation plan

Both students as well as teachers from Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School in Pennsylvania were rehabilitating a home for dual months as part of a construction trades curriculum before it was detected to enclose a poisonous substance asbestos. Asbestos is a well known carcinogen which can cause lung cancer as well as mesothelioma when its fibers are inhaled.

Two of a teachers, Richard Crosby as well as Heath Bullard, were threatened with being fired as well as fined if they didnt keep quiet about a asbestos exposure. They hired an attorney who encouraged a vo-tech executive to rapt anyone who had been exposed to a asbestos so they could seek medical advice. The attorney also warned a school not to retaliate against a teachers for vocalization out. Approximately 50 to 100 people, often students, had worked with a teachers in a house.
